Feline Oral Resorptive Lesions (FORLs) in this cat was causing chronic pain.  There is alot of investigation underway to determine what is the cause of the common feline problem.  The resorption normally starts below the gumline, but these have progressed so far as to be visible at the gumline.  This is one of the main reasons why dental radiographs are so important in felines.

This pup's teeth were unable to erupt properly through the gumline.  Although 6 months old, he had a blanket of gingiva covering a large part of his teeth. A few of his deciduous teeth were also stuck in the tissues. The excess tissues were resected.  We were able to rinse out debris and bacteria that were hiding under abnormal gingiva.  His gumline now appears normal and he has healthy teeth.
